- Hello Saint Marino and thank you for your time for the Fans of WearetheWalkingDead.de.
- Saint Marino , When was the time you know you want to be an actor?
The first time i realized i wanted to be an actor was the moment i walked into Yankee stadium 25 years ago in the Bronx in i was cast to be an extra as a Yankee fan in For Love Of the Game a Kevin Costner film . It was magical Kevin Costner was hitting flyballs to keep us entertained . while legendary director Sam Raimi was pitching haha . It was my first time on a film set and i knew i wanted to work in the entertainment business from that day forward
- You worked in one of my Favorite series. "The Walking Dead - Dead City". How did you get cast?
I was cast in Dead City which came as a complete surprise to me and i am truly honored and blessed to be part of the walking dead family . The showrunner Eli Jorne was looking for a character named cataract man and contacted me through casting and offered me the role
- Which role did you play in the series?
I was cast to plat cataract man part of a group of survivors that team up with Negan and Maggie to escape Manhatten Island I was in 3 episodes .
it was an amazing experience and set
- Did you watch the show or read the graphic novel, prior to your casting to The Walking Dead?
Honestly i did not watch the show so it was all very new to me this zombie universe
which made it even more exciting to be on the set,the cast and crew was outstanding and welcomed me intop the family .
- Working in TWD Universe, What is the first what you remember when you look back on set?
I think what i comes to mind first was one day we were filming in Newark New Jersey . and it was the first time the zombies took to the street to film a scene .
the amount of onlookers and fans trying to snap pics was insane it literally stopped traffic haha .
- What do you think has been the key to this show’s success and why have people responded to it like they have?
I think the key to show is the amazing writing and the amazing cast of actors .
- Here’s a fun little hypothetical for you.How would you fare in a zombie apocalypse?
i think i would fare pretty well in a zombie apocalypse playing a survivor gives me an advantage to my credit i did not get attacked by the zombies and was one of the few survivors .
- You worked in so many movies and series like "Boardwalk Empire" , "The Blacklist" , "The Irishman" and many more. What your personal Highlight so far?
i have been truly blessed over 25 years to be a SAG/AFTRA member and have been on so many amazing sets . i would say the most memorable moment was when i took my mother to see We Own the Night a truly great film with a magnificent cast . i played a russian gangster and watching her expression as my face took up the entire screen was priceless , i could tell she was proud of me .
- Is there any dream role or actor/actress you would loved to work in the future?
i have worked with so many legendary actors over the years Tom Cruise Russel Crowe Colin Farrel Robert Deniro Al Pacino Pesce Jaoquin Phoenix Jenniferto but one actor who i have never gotten a chance to do a scene with would be Leonardo DiCaprio he is an amazing actor and that be pretty cool .
