Patrick A Sova Interview
Watching Actors go from Adidas to undead
- Hello Patrick A. Sova and thank you for your time for the Fans of WearetheWalkingDead.de.
- Patrick , When was the time you know you want to be an actor? -
Acting is something that I’ve always known on the inside-from childhood-I wanted to do.
- You worked in two of my Favorite series. "The Walking Dead - Dead City". How did you get cast?
I was originally cast in the spring of 2022 to attend “zombie school” In Rutherford, New Jersey. From there a large number of actors audition for “Walker” Roles. That large number of actors was whittled down by producers and directors to form a “core group” of zombie walkers - Which totaled about 20 Actors When everything was all said and done.
- Which role did you play in the series?
I played a zombie walker - I had a nickname for my zombie, which was “chip” - Because I felt he slowly chipped away at his prey.
- Did you watch the show or read the graphic novel, prior to your casting to The Walking Dead?
I had watched the first three seasons of walking dead as a fan and at the time of release.
I lost touch with the series after the third season, but once I was casted as a zombie walker, I did catch up on remaining eight seasons.
- Working in TWD Universe, What is the first what you remember when you look back on set?
The smell of our make up early in the morning - Often times close to 5 AM.
Watching Actors go from Adidas to undead…
Smoke machines lights, giant blue screens
Stunt performers, warming up for their upcoming scenes.
And a spooky excitement lingering in the air.
- What do you think has been the key to this show’s success and why have people responded to it like they have?
I believe that the writers have a very good understanding of what the audience wants to see in here - And Also, The, passion and detail put behind every costume every set and every scene that is filmed. I believe all of this comes through on the screen and helps to create the success you are talking about.
- Here’s a fun little hypothetical for you.How would you fare in a zombie apocalypse?
Honestly, I think it’d be about a seven -
I’d like to remain human as long as possible, but once I get bit…
Watch out!
- You worked in so many movies and series like "FBI: Most Wanted" , "The Blacklist" , "Law and Order" and many more. What your personal Highlight so far?
