- Maria , When was the time you know you want to be an actress?
I´ve always wanted to become an actress. I became part of a children's acting school in Copenhagen, when I was 6 years old. I loved, how I could create another world in my imagination. I knew, that I wanted a career as an actress, when I was in my 20s.
- You worked in two of my Favorite series. "The Walking Dead Daryl Dixon". How did you get cast?
My lovely agent George from Alma Artists got me the audition. I made a selftape in my house in Copenhagen.
- Which role did you play in the series?
I played Hanna. A danish woman, stranded on Greenland after finishing some work.
- Working in TWD Universe, What is the first what you remember when you look back on set?
Being part of TWD universe ment a lot of people were involved. It was a big crew. Everyone so helpful and talented. Such a lovely experience, meeting everyone.
- What do you think has been the key to this show’s success and why have people responded to it like they have?
It´s a character driven show which fans loves. The drama of it. But the show also question deeper moral complexity in life such as, how far are you willing to go and who decides justice.
- Here’s a fun little hypothetical for you.How would you fare in a zombie apocalypse?
I don´t think i would survive to be honest. My brain would shut down and I can´t kill anything.
- Maria , you worked also in 8 Episode´s "1899" as Iben. Something you can share with us about this series?
We, in the cast, became really close. Almost as family. We were supposed to do three seasons, and we were all devastated. hearing that the show was cancelled.
- You worked in so many movies and series like "Hagen" , "The Ritual" , "Sommerdahl Murders" and many more. What your personal Highlight so far?
i loved playing Iben in 1899. She was a beautiful mix of devoted Christian to hardcore killer. I loved how she could get everything to make sense as long as it was for safety and for Jesus Christ. Almost as TWD.
- Is there anything else you would like to let TWD Fans and your fans know?
I´m deeply grateful for your love and support. You are the reason I get to do what I love. Thank you to all of you.
