Stephanie McIntyre Interview
Becoming a featured CRM Frontliner where I ran next to Andrew Lincoln, it’s been an amazing journey in my career

- Hello Stephanie McIntyre and thank you for your time for the Fans of The Walking Dead.

Hello, thank you I appreciate the fans and this interview Bernd Lorenz. I am excited to share my experience of working for AMC’s The Walking Dead.

- Stephanie , When was the time you know you want to be an actress?

I’ve known that I wanted to work in the film  industry for my entire life. I’ve always had a fascination of filmmaking.

- You worked in one of my Favorite series. "The Walking Dead" How did you get cast ?

For many years, I have trained in Gymnastics and Stunts, as a Contortionist I was originally cast as a Walker on AMC’s The Walking Dead because I have the physical flexibility to bend my limbs into uttermost positions.

- Which role did you play in the series?

Originally I was a Walker on AMC’s The Walking Dead and then I was hired to work as a CRM Frontliner on The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, the spinoff television show for AMC.

- In The Walking Dead The One Who Live you also work in some episodes as CRM Frontliner. Who was is back on set in the series many fans are waiting for?

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live reunites the amazing characters Rick and Michonne. Originally I was hired to work as a CRM Trainee and I was chosen to film a scene where I ran next to “Rick Grimes” aka Andrew Lincoln in episode one. We both wore matching grey CRM logo sweatsuits as we trained. After filming that day, production asked me to continue filming throughout the duration of the television show and I was promoted to become a CRM Frontliner where I got upgraded to my own uniform and I filmed/acted for 5 months on set of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. I filmed a choreographed fight sequence as well which was so fun. Working next to Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira and the entire cast and crew was a phenomenal experience for me. Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira were always so nice to me on set. They both have remarkable acting abilities and it was exciting to work next to them. It is still one of the greatest experiences of my life.

- Working in The Walking Dead, What is the first what you remember when you look back on set?

My very first special memory is receiving the email that I had been cast/hired. They sent me a “Welcome to AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead’ Production” email. I was so excited to be on set, to put on the Walker costume clothing and have the FX Special Effects makeup applied. I have absolutely loved  The Walking Dead for years so to be hired to work for them was so special and I’ll forever be grateful for it. My very first scene as a Walker I filmed with the incredibly kind Norman Reedus.

- With a role in TWD/FTWD comes a Big Fan Community, what are your first The Walking Dead fan experiences?

The Walking Dead fans are absolutely amazing. I enjoy meeting fans and hearing how much they love the television show. When we film it’s sometimes up to 15 hours a day working on set and I’m so grateful that our work is loved around the world. Sometimes I saw fans near the set and I would wave to them. It’s special to read comments online of how much the show means to people. I truly feel honored to work for The Walking Dead and I appreciate the fans so much.

- You not only work in TWD you also work in 2 Halloween Movies, thats right?

Yes, I worked on “Halloween Kills,” and “Halloween Ends,” both productions of Blumhouse and Rough House Pictures. Both films were very exciting to work on. I had always loved John Carpenter’s Halloween franchise so that was quite a dream come true. The Halloween fans are really wonderful.

- "Under the Dome" , "TWD" , "Halloween" , and many more. Whats your personal Highlight so far?

Starting my career, I worked for Stephen King’s “Under the Dome.” I enjoy all genres of film, horror and thrillers are at the top of my personal list of favorites. A highlight for me is that it’s a special experience to work on a movie or television show and then months later it is watched around the world.

- What will we see next from you? Any projects/movies/series?

I do have some upcoming projects for acting. I am excited to screen write, produce and direct some projects in addition to acting in the future.

- Is there any dream role or actor/actress you would loved to work in the future?

Any role that I get I’ll be so appreciative of and because I love filmmaking so much, every role feels like a dream role.

- Is there anything else you would like to let TWD Fans and your fans know?

I am very grateful for The Walking Dead fans, it is because of the fans that we have this amazing television show. From watching the show myself starting in 2010, to becoming a Walker, to then becoming a featured CRM Frontliner where I ran next to Andrew Lincoln, it’s been an amazing journey in my career and I thank the fans everywhere very much for their support. I share in the excitement with you.
