Justin Clarke Interview
The walking Dead fans are the best fans

Justin V Clarke is a stuntman and actor from Philadelphia, Pa.

- Hello Justin Clarke and thank you for your time for the Fans of The Walking Dead.

Thanks for having me and taking time out of your day for interviewing me.

- Justin , At what time did  you know you wanted to be an actor?

The first time I knew I wanted to be an actor was after watching the Original Ninja Turtles movie. I wanted to be one of the kids who became one of the newest Foot Clan soldiers. I would recite all the lines from the original movie.

- You worked in two of my Favorite series. "The Walking Dead" The Once who Live and Dead City. How did you get cast as actor and stunt man?

Well I knew the stunt Coordinator  and became really good friends with him and he told me that he would be the action designer for the Dead City and The Ones who lived. I told him I was a big fan of the show and if he need anyone to do any zombie stuff I Would love to be apart of it. So about two months later I got the call for Dead City.

- Which role did you play in the series?

In Dead City I played a bunch of the  walkers and on of The Croat main Henchman. In The Ones Who Lived I was able to play a lot of the specialty walkers that have never been in the walking dead universe so that was an amazing honor as a diehard fan and a stuntman and actor.

- Working in TWD Universe, What is the first thing you remember when you look back on set?

Two things really stuck out with me. 1 as soon as you walk on set you will always see some type of  walker laying on the ground or some type of prop. 2 the twd cast and crew are really like family. It’s one of the few sets I’ve been on when people are super nice and laughing and they enjoy what they do. A lot of them have been doing this since day one, especially the makeup’s and special effects crew.

- How did your family react when they found out that you were playing in The Walking Dead Universe?

My parents were happy for me but they won’t watch the show it’s to gory for them lol. Rest of my friends and family and my wife love it. They post pictures or time lapse videos I make of getting the prosthetics put on and just share it with there friends or on social media

- With a role in TWD Universe comes a Big Fan Community, what was  your first  Walking
Dead fan experiences?

The walking Dead fans are the best fans. Most fans will ask if they can repost a picture or video or they just will reach out and just ask a question which I’m always willing to answer as long as it’s not a spoiler. As a fan myself I’ve always thought it was cool when people from tv or film will answer questions and give you insight on your favorite show.

- Justin , in your work as Stunt man you have been  in so many series and Movies like "The Blacklist" , "Fallout" , "John Wick 3". Something you can share with us about your work as stunt man ?

The biggest thing I can say is I love my job. I get paid to play make believe and I have met so many cool talented people.

- Was there a moment in your work as a stuntman when your life was in danger?

I’ve never felt as a stuntman my life was in danger. I know doing this job that getting hurt is part of the job it’s going to happen we all hope it not something that will end our career or life. The stunt industry is a lot safer but things can still happen but the best part is we our a family who take care of one another and try to see the stunt from every possible angle so we all go home safe.

- Are you currently working on anything interesting Movie or Series outside "The Walking Dead" that you can reveal?

The only thing I can really say rite now is that I did work on Dead City Season 2  but that’s all I can really talk in the twd world. A couple more tv shows that I can’t reveal yet because of a NDA.

- Is there any dream role or actor/actress you would loved to work in the future?

My dream role I would love to be in a Nightmare on Elm St movie.  As far as a actor/actress Samuel Jackson and Mia Goth.

- Is there anything else you would like to let TWD Fans and your fans know?

To all the TWD fans thanks for showing me any type of love and support. I’ve been a fan of TWD since the comics and to be able to be apart of this cool wonderful family has been amazing and I love hearing from the fans and seeing the passion that they have for the TWD universe.

- Thank you being my guest Justin Clarke and best wishes for the future. I hope to see you one day in Germany.
