Kevin Foster Interview

Kevin Foster is known for Iron Man,  Jurassic World and Star Wars Skeleton Crew
- Thank you Kevin Foster for your time for the Fans.

- Kevin, When was the time you knew you wanted to be an actor?

Junior year of college was when I knew I wanted to be an actor.  I had taken a couple of acting classes by then, and it was as simple as this: I had more fun acting than doing anything else so I made a conscious decision to do it for a living.

- Among other things, you played in "Skeleton Crew" an  Pirate. Were you a Star Wars fan before you got cast?

I have been a Star Wars fan my whole life.  One of my earliest memories is falling asleep on my mom's lap in the movie theater during Empire Strikes Back.

- Kevin ,Could you share some funny, remarkable, weird stories regarding the filming of your scenes ?

The two scenes I did came out of sheer luck.  I happened to be in a lucky spot during the big standoff in the second episode, and the director thought it would be funny for the head pirate to shoot the droid and have the laser ricochet off and hit me in the head.  Then the next day they had me go up to one of the kids and spin him around, mistaking him for a friend of mine.

– With a role in an Star Wars Series like Skeleton Crew comes a Big Fan Community, what are your first star wars fan experiences?

Unfortunately, I have not had fan experiences from Skeleton Crew because they cut both of my bits from the show.

- You also work in "Iron Man" as Jimmy with Robert Downey Jr. Something you can share with us from the Marvel Universe?

In Iron Man, the most interesting thing about that scene is that the most well known bit was not even scripted.  The thing where I hold up a peace sign, and Robert says "no gang signs" came 100% out of John Favreau's head in the moment.

- Is there something special you would love to do in the future? Maybe another role in Star Wars? Or a special actor to work with?

The only franchise I'm still dying to work on is the Star Wars movies.  I would love to have a role in one of those.  I don't have specific actors I'd like to work with, but there is a short list of directors:  Ron Howard, Robert Zemeckis, Steven Spielberg, and Martin Scorsese.

- Thank you for your time Kevin Foster! Let’s end this interview with some words for the fans?

I just want to thank all of the fans for watching and loving the things they love because that love drives it all, and I wouldn't be able to do this without them.

- Thank you and i hope to see you some day on a German Star Wars Convention.
