Pamela Denise Weaver Interview
My only experience as to horror films was Night of the Living Dead
- Hello Pamela Denise Weaver and thank you for your time for the Fans.
- Pamela , When was the time you know you want to be an actress?
Age 6 when I started performing on TV and stage as part of The Weaver Sisters in USO shows in the Tidewater Area of Virginia Beach.
- 2020 you got cast for Fear The Walking Dead. How did you get cast ?
Through Casting Site and then meeting the director from The Walking Dead.
- What is the first what you remember when you look back on set from Fear The Walking Dead?
The different locations were remote and at times difficult to locate. The topography caused many of us cast as The Walking Dead left to the elements. I heard many stories from the other actors as well. At one point, we were told not to go in the water, however, director didn’t cut until we were in the water. Same thing happened as to the mud situation. When lying dead after being mowed down, many of the background actors didn’t know how to stand or lie still controlling their breathing; that’s where my yoga training came into play.
- With a role in TWD/FTWD Universe comes a Big Fan Community, what are your first The Walking Dead fan experiences?
In the casting portion, the director from The Walking Dead explained how not to overplay the characters as my only experience as to horror films was Night of the Living Dead. He explained that is the genre but not with arms outstretched as appeared in that film.
- Working with the Main Cast of FWTD will be a dream of many Fans, how was it for yourself?
Awesome. Cast were professional and when it came to directing the Casting Coordinator on set was difficult to work with but when cast found out I was also a pro, we worked out the kinks together. That included me playing a town character in the new town created by the survivors shot in Austin, Texas.
- Pamela , you also work in many other Projects like Brotherly Love , Pastor Sheppard , American Sniper and many more. Whats your personal Highlight so far?
Working on American Sniper was the best experience ever. The director Clint Eastwood gave me leeway to enlarge the script by giving me the original letter that was sent to Marc Lee’s mom (whom I played) and advised to break down half way through which I did and was compelling even to the other cast and crew.
- What will we see next from you? Any projects/movies/series?
The Dying Swan (shot in Atlanta in September 2023); Do No Harm (shot in Houston, Texas June 2023)
- Is there any dream role or actor/actress you would loved to work in the future?
Meryl Streep as well as Julia Luis Dreyfus that I just worked with on another film but under NDA and was only background this past spring here in Atlanta. What a delight.
- Is there anything else you would like to let TWD Fans and your fans know?
If you have a dream in this biz, go for it.
- Thank you being my guest Pamela and best wishes for the future. I hope to see you one day in Germany.
