Kristy Hoefler Interview
It's a well written story and there's not much like it on TV. It's different.

- Hello Kristy Hoefler and thank you for your time for the Fans of WearetheWalkingDead.de.
I'm happy to answer your questions.

- Kristy , When was the time you know you want to be an actress?
I realized I wanted to be an actress after my first production assistant job. I'd worked as and extra or background actor and thought I might like working behind the camera. So I tried it out. And I did, but I realized I really liked working in front of the camera. I decided to try it out. I booked my first Audition for a film called Rough Patch Twisted Fate.

- You worked in one of my Favorite series. "The Walking Dead". How did you get cast?
The casting department put up a post looking for farm types. I sent them a few pictures in jeans boots, and an ax. I guess I was hopping Iit looked like I could chop wood. But it worked! I actually got the email while waiting for an acting audition.

- Which role did you play in the series?
I played a citizen of woodbury.

- Working in TWD Universe, What is the first what you remember when you look back on set?
A lot of night shoots. And the nicest film crew! They were amazing! And a green deodorant. They put it in our hair to make it look extra greasy. I was also able to be a make up double as they tied out different burnt hair and skin looks. There were wigs and prosthetics. That was a lot of fun!

- What do you think has been the key to this show’s success and why have people responded to it like they have?
It's a well written story and there's not much like it on TV. It's different.

- Here’s a fun little hypothetical for you.How would you fare in a zombie apocalypse?
I'm pretty scrappy, I think I'd be ok. Probably a bit of a loner like Michone. Or maybe have a small trusted group like Rick. But I'd make it.

Do you have any interesting or funny stories from your time on the set?
We had one night we were all running; the cast and the extras. There were blanks being shot and I think the zombies were loose. And the Director was like "I need you guys to run, panic, pretend you are running for your lives". But then he was like "but safely". So we were to safely run for our lives? But it was a fun night.

 - Kristy , you also work in "Lock and Key 1 and 2". Is there something you can share with us?
Yeah, so I was cast as Hailey. My character was the sister of a police informant and naturally my brother got into trouble. The trouble led to my character's house. It was fun, my character got beat up and left bleeding for the cop to find. The guy who was playing the bad guy was really nice.

- You worked also as Author. What can you tell us about "Too Many Alphas" , "The Initiation: The Dark Blood Pack" and your next "Rogue" ?

Yes. I am a published author. I have four books currently. A Taste of Moonlight, Too Many Alphas, House of the Rising Sun, The Initiation: the Dark Blood Pack. And soon, Rogue. I write Urban Paranormal Fantasy. All of my books involve werewolves or shifters.

Too Many Alphas is about a female Alpha wolf shifter who's lived on her own for years and has to deal with a new Alpha who moves to town with his pack. It's a spicy romance with a bit of action.

The Initiation: The Dark Blood Pack is about an 18-year-old werewolf who fails her pack's initiation ritual to join their pack. It's this ceremony that helps a werewolf with their first transition. Without it, most people don't complete their transition and must live as humans. But she shifts without it. But doesn't complete the transition and gets stuck with wolf eyes. The pack can't let her live like that so she runs and finds the only pack that might be able to help her. The Dark Blood Pack.

Rogue is more of a dystopian fantasy. There was a war that split the country; the Human Zone, the Werewolf Zone, and the Neural Zone. The main character was born human but lived in the neutral zone for three years until she accidentally crossed the border. There she is claimed by an Alpha, the one who ended the war that split the country. He is considered a God among werewolves. His life is also dangerous. By mating her, he put a target on her back.
